The Best Government Is That Which Governs Least
Hi, I'm Don Montgomery, and I'm running for Ravalli County Commissioner, District 3.
Many of my friends and neighbors throughout the county have expressed concerns and doubts about the direction we are headed. I believe I can provide the competent, steady and visionary leadership Ravalli County needs right now as we work our way through these tough times and beyond.
A commissioner's first duty is to make sure our county dollars give taxpayers real value for their money, while providing services that are dependable, effective and properly delivered. Commissioners must be honest, ethical and held accountable for their actions. Decisions should be made by common sense, not pandering to special interests or unproven philosophies.

I firmly believe in the United States' Constitution and the freedoms it guarantees, including freedom of speech and the Second Ammendment right to bear arms.
Our Constitution was written with the intention of minimal government intrusion in the lives of citizens. Our forefathers knew that excessive government leads to the erosion of civil rights. I believe the best government is Constitutional, unintrusive and protects the rights of all citizens.
As your Ravalli County Commisssioner from District 3, I'll work to protect your rights in a way that is honest and ethical. I will hold myself accountable to you, the voters of Ravalli County.
